What to expect

On arriving for your sauna, you will be met by Fynn or Jen to welcome you and check you in.

The changing space for the sauna is located within the community centre. We recommend to wear a pair of slip on shoes such as Crocs and have a towel or dry robe for the short walk down to the sauna.

There is a small entrance space to hang your towels/ dry robe and put away any outdoor shoes before entering the sauna room. We ask for no outdoor footwear to be worn within the sauna.

While in the sauna please sit on a towel for your own comfort as the benches can get hot to touch. Please do not touch the stove or add any wood to the fire. Extra heat can be made by pouring a little water over the sauna stones.

10 to 15 minute time periods are recommended for inside the sauna, with time in between to cool down outside. The upper bench will give you a more intense heat, while it will be slightly cooler on the lower seats. If you find yourself getting uncomfortable while in the sauna, take a step outside to cool off. Staying hydrated is also very important.

Once your hour slot is up, please make way for the next guests to the sauna. You are welcome to hang around outside and sit by the fire pit to relax after the sauna.
